Notes

slight disagreement between the GPS and the run mapping. GPS said 14.00 but when i plugged in where i turned around the mapping function thinks i did 14.1. it only makes a 3 second per mile difference so that is okay. Really struggled home on this one and my average pace would have been much stronger if it wasnt for the above 8 minute last mile i dropped on the uphill portion coming back. that is part of the game tho.

This run was by no means perfect but it went a hell of a lot better than it did a week ago doing 12 miles less. the good news about that is that this week had more miles, had workout sessions, and had lifting with my legs, yet i still had a much more successful long run. might be too much to ask that 16 next week goes even better but we shall see. I had to stop once for a couple minutes as a hydration break at 10 miles but that is still substantially better than the stops last week.

also worth pointing out that this is the longest run i have been on since the summer of 2015. This is also the most weekly mileage since at least some point in 2015. next week will end up being the longest since summer 2014. that bit of perspective is important. this should be difficult and i should feel shitty. It also makes me feel better about running over 7minutes/mile. not sure what to make of the hydration backpack as an influence on time, im sure it doesnt help, and certainly it makes my right arm hurt like a bitch for some reason. i am less anxious about the race being in a month and a half now than i was last week so that is important.
