nice and cold, started light snow shortly after starting. Good run. Looks like Garmin HRM working ok. moving better, little faster on hills (?). after hills focused on maintaining ~170-180 as close to or under 8:00 pace as HR would accomodate.
Went out a little easy to get adjusted to cold. Tried to maintain HR and not over-exert on hills. Easy to pick up pace after mile three with the flats and gentle down hills (nice reward for the early hills!). Did 4 (or 5?) surges for ~20seconds each in last mile.
