Notes
Did not feel on top of it today... Maybe it was the 21 mile day or the 75 mile week last week or the abnormally warm weather, but I did not have much strength of character tonight. Group 3A with Meghan, Zosia, Taylor and Craig called for 5 miles, 3 @ 6:22, 1@6:12, final mile 6:04! This seemed intimidating, but we were instructed to stay on the track which made it more doable (and shorter!).
I led the first mile, well paced for me, 6:20 pace. Zosia led the 2nd and Taylor the third and they were both a little slow but not a big deal given we had to drop. These miles felt pretty surprisingly easy! Meghan led a perfect 4th mile, speeding up to 93,94s, then Taylor took off for the last, Zosia eventually caught her, Meghan a few steps behind them and me a few steps behind Meghan. I did fine in the 4th mile, but ran a lot of it in lane 2 and should have tucked in... The last mile I was out of gas and couldn't respond to the speedup, which was a bummer, I want to be able to push myself to keep up with these ladies! I think I still managed a 6:10-ish last mile though, which isn't that bad!
Oh and tons of rain! We got soaked, that was fun.
