Seward Park

Notes

Theory: when stressed or worried about something, just run really hard for a really long time and you'll be in so much pain you'll forget about it.

In Practice: you'll forget 90% of it, the other 10% will provide a negative feedback on your pace.

This was actually an amazingly wonderful run. Great temperature, beautiful views of Lake Washington, little pain and great pace until I hit Seward Park, just great. Had a little stomach trouble, not used to these long distances anymore. Started to feel ankle and knee pains on the way back... tightened the shoes down, which seemed to help. But once that was fixed, the actual muscles started complaining. yeah yeah yeah. Then it got dark and spooky and I had to slow down some to not fall down a ditch. Took a slightly different route to avoid dark trail with nasty roots keen on knocking the steam out of you. Good run. yesh yesh. Now everything hurts and maybe that 90% will stay away for awhile.
