First time as an informal pacer for a 2-hour group at the California Classic half marathon. It was great fun! It was a really hot day for a race, and unfortunately, it wasn't ideal weather for personal records. The group came in anywhere from 2:05-2:15. We had an agreement that I would just plug along at the 2 hour pace no matter what. I did end up at the finish with another new friend who did excellent despite less-than-ideal circumstances. So proud of the group. These women gave 100%.
