Similar to Friday, I don't really know what happened. I just went fast. 7:45/mile pace felt like cruising speed. I knew I was going a lot faster than a comfortable jog, but 7:45 didn't feel like a huge effort. However, after a mile, I started to pour it on. Unfortunately I could start to feel my food and I was kind of doomed. I was very uncomfortable, but nevertheless I persisted. And I am glad I did.

What I did was run a new, unofficial PR for both a three mile xc race and the 5k.

My old three mile xc PR was set at sectionals my junior year (2017!!). The time? 22:16.4 at Kaneland High School. This was the 2A girl's race. My new PR? 22:15. Yea, a whole second faster. BUT I am very happy because this was done when I wasn't feeling great. ALSO I didn't come out today planning on setting a PR. I did plan to run fast, but not make a PR attempt. I think I could have gotten as low as 22:00 if I ran on an empty stomach. Might have to continue my training a little longer and make a few more attempts. This seems pretty doable now. Although I will feel pretty bad for my high school self--if I really set a PR now, in my ripe old age of 19, I will feel retroactively pathetic. Haha. It's fine.

My 5k PR was all over the place. Race wise, I ran a 24:58 at the 2018 Dasher Dash. I've ran faster 5k's on Strava, I believe. Strava claims I ran a 22:02 5k on a six mile tempo I did back in April. It seems questionable. The map is kind of squiggly. I don't really trust it. But, I will trust that I ran under 23:00 for a 5k. Today I ran a 22:55, which I think is enough wiggle room to say that I really did get sub-23. As with my feelings on my three mile PR, I am proud that I set a PR. I wasn't planning on it and I did it anyway. Frankly, this is awesome. It's just what I needed to keep me motivated.

2 mile - 7:20

3 mile - 7:10

0.10 mile - 6:13 pace

Maybe sometime in the next two weeks I will run some type of official three mile course and see what I get. Maybe I won't. I have limited time in the 815 because I move in to my apartment on the 16th. Plus, we leave for Minnesota either tomorrow night or Wednesday in the early morning & we won't be back until Sunday night. I might try to run up there, especially since it is going to be absolutely gorgeous. But as always, we shall see. Also def planning to run on campus because I am not trying to be fat again. Also......... since I am already in shape......... maybe......... maybe......... I might perhaps join....... the..... x.....c...... c-c-c-lub. Ew I kind of puked just saying it. It would be nice to be part of a team but I am not sure if they are as c00l as ye olde boylan xc. This is just a thought I have not completely developed it yet
