Notes
On the one hand, I'm disappointed this course was terrible, but on the other hand I didn't run well anyways, so I'm glad I didn't "waste" a good effort for nothing.
The weather was warmish, the wind was strong, the course had about 50 turns and curves, and it was so dark at one point, I had to slow down to avoid breaking an ankle. I guess they made up for that by making the course short...by about a quarter of a mile. Oh well. Have to try another race later.
"Official" time: 18:58. On a real course, this would have been more like a 20:15 or 20:20. Won my AG, didn't stick around for the medal.
Things to blame: all of the above about the course, plus I barely made the starting line in time b/c of parking, and I had no warmup at all, and I ran the first part of mile 1 a bit hard.
