Notes
Warming up before the race. I got plenty of time in on my feet to start out, was nice and overdressed. Took a crank gel after the warmup and before the race, then carried another to use around mile 5 of the race.
I did take a good spill; was running across a field, realized it was completely saturated with water and that I didn't want to get soaked, so I stopped, turned, and fell on my side. Despite getting my pants soaked my shoes and leg sleeves mostly dried by the start of the race, although I did have tufts of grass sticking to them still.
