Finally got outside to shovel snow this afternoon. And by shovel, I mean play with my new "snow blower" (which is actually just a tiny handheld device...) It wasn't much faster than shoveling would have been (maybe a bit) but did save my back some, and if we'd had 6-8 inches instead of 12-14 (or 20 in drift spots) in the driveway then it would have definitely been much faster. My arms were pretty sore afterwards as I had to hold the device up halfway through the snow in order to get a top layer off at times. Mopped up with a normal shovel afterwards as with the wind it wound up spreading quite a bit of what I threw around back into the driveway. At least it got most of the snow out of the driveway though.
