It was really cold at the outset. My heart jumped from getting into the wind with my cold muscles going up that first hill. Once I warmed up I alternated between too warm and chilly, but was mostly comfortable. The roads near the lake have a lot of tree cover which helps.
Erin was home by the time I got back, and while I was gone the plows took out the mailbox again. So rather than warming up, I got to stand in the wind and put the mailbox back together and nail it back onto the post.
