Ran w/Erin, Erik & Django at Bradbury Mountain. This is my furthest run since the marathons but I felt fine. The only times I was uncomfortable where I'm injured was when I'd stub my toe, which I seemed to do quite a bit towards the end of the run.
My legs in general were a bit sore from lack of activity though, especially my quads and inner thighs.
I think that the Merrills worked out pretty well on the single track. When I was paying attention, I had no trouble placing my feet where I wanted them and they seemed to provide plenty of traction. However, I think that a lot of the stubbing of my toes was probably due to the toe box which I'm not completely familiar with yet and which is a different shape than most of my existing shoes. Perhaps I need a half size smaller shoe or just to run a bit more in these ones.
Unlike last week, I've been lacing the shoes a little looser which has led to being a bit more comfortable than when I had run barefoot in the shoes but I have not yet run barefoot again.
