Notes

Met up with Josh to run 20 miles, but he hasn't been able to train most of the week with a tooth infection. We decided to go 8 out instead of 10 out and then turn around, which gave us an option of running 16 straight back, 17 back the long way, and running the mountain side for around 20 if we still felt up for it. Josh was doing great through 12 miles or so, but really started to flag at that point so we just ran straight back to the cars. Pretty even effort, it was a fun run. So 16 miles in about 2.5 hours through mostly packed but slightly slick snow (except for one section where I postholed a half dozen times past my knee into the snow.)

Next week is a Fat Ass 50k at the park, so I'll do the 1st 2 loops for 21 miles, and that will be my last "long" run until the first marathon. Still planning on running a half marathon 2 weeks before the marathon, which will probably wind up being a 17 or 18 mile day.
