'Til We Meet in Hell at Thorncrag. Tough but fun course...basically up and down over a 1.2 mile loop of technical single track for 90 minutes, with some black ice thrown in for the first few loops. Andy got off to a fast start and I got boxed behind Alan and Dave, but eventually ran it solo as a time trial as I tried to keep Andy from lapping me and tried to put some distance on Alan. I succeeded in the first, but Alan caught up in the last few laps. As I passed the 0.9 mile marker as we closed in on 90 minutes, I saw that there was no way to make it to the mile marker so I waited for Alan and hoped he'd fall short of hitting .9 miles...but he made it. So, tied for second in actual distance covered, and did a very respectable 4th place finish in handicapped distance (12.25 miles). Alan and I were the only people not to get lapped by Andy...he was a tenth of a mile behind us when time ran out. Fun party afterwards at Gritty's.
