Recapping for 3 runs...

Did 8x30 hill reps on Friday and felt pretty meh. Still getting used to workouts and miles again so the back half of last week felt pretty rough on my legs. I was not excited to run on Friday and ended up only running 6.3 vs the planned 7... Mostly because I was so annoyed by the stupid wind. Saturday I ended up running early afternoon. It rained on and off all day and it was only 3 planned so it was a pretty easy choice to get on the treadmill. Glad I did because it started pouring right when I would have been out there. Did some quick upper body work after.

It was about 30 degrees with 19mph winds Sunday morning for my long run so rather than be out in the open on the High Trestle Trail, I decided to drive over to the Saylorville Lake path so I could be shielded by the trees. The downside being that its way hillier. I felt good the first 4 miles and then mile 5 in the prairie had a stretch directly into the wind with no cover. I felt OK after turning around but hills were still rough. I'm just happy I kept it pretty consistent and my legs aren't too sore Monday morning.

There were some tornadoes like 20 minutes south of us in Des Moines on Saturday and then Sunday into Monday we got 3.5 inches of snow. Hoping that it is going to melt off because I've got a pretty tough workout on Tuesday that I was hoping to get on a track for. Weather is so annoying.
