Been a while since I've logged so I'll cram a lot into this one.

Starting with Thursdays run... Knee actually felt good Thursday and I was pretty confident about getting 3 or 4 miles in. I could still feel some tightness there, but it was pretty much pain free and after 2 miles I had decided to go 4. But then I had to stop at a light just after three miles and when I started running again it flared up to just about the worse its felt. I couldn't run and had to limp my way back in a half mile or so. That was/is really demoralizing and I have been brooding about it. It still felt shitty on Friday and it didn't help that we had to spend 6 hours in a car driving to and from a wedding in Dubuque.

Memory gets hazier for the rest of the weekend. Did 60 minutes on the bike Saturday and did some strength work but mostly avoided anything lower body. I'm pretty sure Leah and I did core afterwards too. I was lazy and didn't do anything on Sunday or Monday. We were hanging out with some friends Sunday afternoon and I like suddenly noticed "Hey, I'm not feeling any tightness in my knee right now". It continued to feel good pretty much all day yesterday too minus one like weird flare walking around a corner.

On to this morning... Definitely need to get back on the grind so I got up around 5:15 and got on the bike for 45 minutes. Still super boring and makes my butt hurt. I'm definitely going to do some lifting this afternoon and maybe some more time on the bike. I'll maaaybe run if my knee feels 99%, but its not looking likely because it just feels OK at work this morning. Tyson's pushing for me to get a cheap gym membership for elliptical access, but we will see.

2021 was objectively my best year of running and it sucks to end it on such a bad note. Hoping I can get start on 2022 soon.
