My legs are feeling good and ready to run fast. An easy 4 w/some striders on Friday and then 8K race day Saturday. My plan is to go out 6:00 and try to negative split every mile. If I can do that and then run miles 2-4 as quick as my tempo last Thursday, I'll put myself in a really good position to make a run at sub 29:00 over the last mile. My PR from college is 29:34. Weather is looking like its going to be about as good as I could hope for, so as long as my body cooperates I should be able to smash that. Crazy that like 5-6 weeks ago I was just hoping I could get in shape and break 30. Tyson has done a really great job coaching me and to my credit I've responded really well to the training so far.
