6x1K w/ 200 rest and then 4x200

Met up with Devon at 4:45 for these. Goal was to total 10 this morning and I'm pretty satisfied with 9.8 and I was home before James woke up. I woke up at 4:15 for this and was asking myself wtf I was doing the whole drive over. Workout ended up being really solid though. I was shooting to run about 3:45 and we just about nailed it. It was a nice system of Devon leading 300-350, me taking over for the second lap, then he would go by me for the last 300 or so. Really helped out with the mental aspect of this because I really only had to focus on that second 400 every rep. He is a great workout partner. It was a pretty windy morning but it wasn't that bad down on the track. We did the 200s with the wind at our back down the homestretch and they were alright. It was a cold morning and after 4.5 miles I didn't want to push them at all. Kept them really comfortable, but I do wish "really comfortable" was a little quicker than 5:00 pace, especially if I'm going to race a mile next month.

Really positive about the workout overall. Few weeks ago we basically did the same workout but had to slow down to 3:50 for the last 4 reps. My fitness is definitely improving.
