Total repeat of conference last year where the called final call like an hour before our race. As much fun as i had jogging around nervously for 45 minutes and doing god knows how many strides. I got put into the fast heat as like 2nd or 3rd to last which i was glad about because i knew i could run faster.
Starting off i ran the first 100 kinda slow, but i made sure i got right in the back of the lead pack. I felt super comfortable coming through 400 in 69, Randolf led until the 600 i think or maybe 1000 i cant remember, But someone made a move, and surprisingly with out thinking about it i moved too. Granted not as fast, but i dropped Beupre and Randolf. Anyway, I ran the second and third lap in 71 and the last lap in 69. I thought i had a shot at Nick Miller until he kicked and i couldnt respond. Nice big PR, i just wanted to impress "you know who" who came to the meet.
