Quick weekend recap:

Audibled from the Friday tempo because of the 25-35mph + 50mph gusts (not going to rant about how I live in a wind tunnel). Switched it up to make it a lighter day and I ended up feeling pretty good despite the wind. Ran into it on my way out and had a nice push on the way home. Did a windy (but not as bad) 8 miles on Saturday. Was pretty indecisive about what loop to run, so I mashed up a couple. I made sure I kept it easy in prep for a LR + tempo on Sunday. Felt pretty good during and after. Had a super chill day with the dog after + chipotle for nice pre-LR dinner.

Did my long run late Sunday morning when it was still like high 20s. Ended up feeling pretty comfortable in speed shorts though. Did a slightly longer warm up with no drills/strides and then went straight into the 4 mile progression. Kept it relaxed the first couple of miles and then started to pick it up the last 1.5. Overall pretty happy with the effort. Gave my self a couple minutes to get my breath back and then "cooled down" 5 miles to hit 12 for the day. I felt pretty good, but my legs (especially calves) were pretty tired the rest of the way. No achilles discomfort since Thursday. I think I just irritated it in my slightly too big Glycerins. I switched to my Bostons from Wednesday on and it felt much better. I was low key worried I was hurt again.
