Took a detour on way to nephew's graduation in Louisa for a run at Sky Meadows SP. Short climb up to the AT, then headed north to Ashby Gap. Saw five backpackers, not sure if they were thru hikers, and a hike and his cute Jack Russell. Pressed for time so had to turn back before reaching the gap. Nice running thru meadows on top of ridge, so good to be in the mountains! I have a lot of training before I'm ready for a mtn ultra though! Cloudy, 73.
