Ran after taking my parents through downtown Charleston in the morning. Warm day made for a pleasurable run. Based off my 5k time, I wanted to start venturing into averaging paces in the 7-8 minute range for easy runs to push myself a bit more. Started off fast, but kept looking at my phone to stay honest to my projected pace of 7:55. Found myself slowing down at times, but ran through it and tried to stick to a constant breathing pattern. Did not run with music. Lack of music helped me focus on the task at hand. Will probably continue to use my phone for GPS and gauging pace. I'm still not very good at pacing myself without help. Overall happy with the run. No real injury problems. Might have felt a little hammy (semitendinosus) tightness halfway. Also a little right abdomen cramping, but did not appear until the end of the run.
