3 miles warm-up, 10 mile wave tempo alternating each half mile between 6:40 pace and 6:20 pace, 2 miles cooldown

I was honestly a bit nervous about how I would be able to handle this workout for some reason and I guess I shouldn't have been because I killed it!; was planning on going to Shelby Bottoms for this but while driving up to the nature center on Davidson we could tell it was going to be too icy to run on so we turned around and parked at LP Field since Davidson and the LP Field loop were runnable; definitely wasn't the most scenic run but I was focused on hitting the paces so it wasn't a big deal; set my watch to autolap every half mile before starting; for the tempo, I ran a total of two out and backs on Davidson Street plus five LP FIeld loops; I focused mainly on hitting the 6:20 pace parts but was also hitting the 6:40 pace parts with relative ease; since I was feeling so good, I slowly crept down the pace on the 6:20 parts and felt smooth doing so; could have definitely maintained those paces for a while longer and I even let it go some on the last half mile just for fun; felt like I was jogging really slowly on the cooldown but apparently I was still in the faster pace groove; solid run...
