8 miles with the last 3 at 6:30ish
Did this after finishing the AP Macroeconomics exam; a little chilly and even got cold when the wind and drizzling rain was in my face but it was a welcomed change from the heat and definitely helped me run strong today; ran on the greenway into the Cason Lane section and back; accidentally ended up going quite a bit faster than 6:30 for the moderate finish, hit the first mile of it feeling pretty easy then thought I needed to pick up the effort slightly keeping that effort level for the 2nd and 3rd miles to run around the same speed but apparently I didn't need to do that-never felt like too hard of an effort nonetheless; next time I will make sure to stay closer to the pace assigned, I know it is important to be able to lock into a certain pace especially for longer distances-I just need more experience with running around this pace since I barely ever had to do medium or tempo runs (just tons of short, fast intervals) while I was in high school...
