15k race
Had an okay race today; I was honestly expecting more timewise but I came through with 50 dollars and a nice plaque for third overall with Koko and Festus way up ahead of me; very well organized race and a flat course with perfect weather most of the time-I would recommend it to anyone; I knew pretty early on that I just wasn't going to have it today-I just didn't have any pop in my legs but at least it was my legs and not my breathing/fitness level that caused the slow time; I bet I still had some of the deep down fatigue in my legs from the hills last Saturday; I will definitely not race next weekend so I can be ready to finally knock some fast races out soon; still a super fun race and happy I was able to do what I did; my dad ran a very good race with an 8:01 avg pace for the 15k-he is improving like crazy!
