Got a PR and ran great in this race; also got a trophy for being second in my age group; it was really humid but luckily had overcast which made the temperature bearable; the first mile felt pretty easy and kept pushing through the second mile and wasn't completely dead for the final mile so I was able to gut through and stay strong the last part of the race; good start for going for my goal of 17:30 later on in the season! Next on the calendar is Voyles at the end of August which I can hopefully also beast at even with the summer afternoon heat that I'll have to deal with; Patrick outsprinted me at the very end and ended up getting a 18:13, Noah 18:27, Danny 19:33...now time for some more speedwork so I can continue to improve on my times!
