2 miles warm-up with strides, 4 mile tempo at 6:20-6:25 pace (oops), 1/2 mile jog, 2x1:00 FAST with 1/4 mile EASY jog in between, 1 mile cooldown

Started with the warm-up around the Lee Victory Park loop where I saw a doe with a tiny, white-spotted fawn; did two strides in the second mile; when I started the tempo I focused on keeping good form and staying nice and relaxed, felt good as I went through the first mile of it in 6:18 (a little fast); as usual it was hard for me to slow down once I was already going that speed so I just went with the flow pacewise (tempo section ended up being a 6:15 pace); the tempo went very good, wasn't really that tough until the final mile but got through it pretty smoothly; the two short, fast sections went by very quickly so they were easy mentally, I made sure to really push those sections; I thought the first fast section felt harder than the second but ran the first faster so maybe I relaxed a little too much on the second one, still a solid workout overall and encouraging that I can sustain that fast of a pace without killing myself...
