Celebrated Bob Dolphin's 500th with my 9th Yakima and 97th road marathon. Snow at the start and cold the whole way. Had a good 18 mile run (2:25:09, 8:04 pace) but then had a 10 min mile when my hands stopped working while trying to get a GU. Had to take off my mittens to get it and ask the kind folks at the aid station to put them back on. After that, the run went downhill (well, first up and then down) both mentally and physically. Even the last downhill 3.2 miles weren't that fast - 26:13 (usually closer to 23-24). This tells me that it will be a stretch to break 3:30 in Boston and certainly not 3:25.
