Course of questionable distance: Two-mile marker appeared at 11:25, well before the GPS indicated I ran two miles (and I definitely wasn't running 5:43s). I turned on a final kick at the 5k marker, only to pass the 3-mile marker about 200m later...
All in all, I could have gone out harder. I had everything totally under control for the first 2.5 miles. I only put on a surge at mile 2 but only started hurting when I tried to mount a final kick around mile 3. I have no speed, so I can't make up for a too-slow pace later.
