First 5k ever. I had fun with this but was pretty much alone the entire time. I went 5:07, 5:09, 5:14. After 2 miles I thought to myself, I did a maintenance mile at 5:15 after cress creek, this is easier than that, which gave me a lot of confidence. With a k to go I was really hurting but I kept pushing. I did not think I had a kick but with 200 to go I sent it, found out I did, and realized I should have done it earlier. Gotta work on negative splitting and not positive splitting, but a great first experience.
