Jingle Bell 5K! I decided after the Skeleton Skamper half fiasco (summary: too much emotional investment made a disappointing result feel much worse) that I would try to redeem myself by taking a whack at my 5K PR, which stands at 23:42 (set in 2009). In the end, I came close, but the temperature played a factor - ice froze my lungs! - and I slowed on the second mile. Still, I came close, and I managed 2nd place in my age group (15th female, 90th overall).
