Notes
Time: 1:32:58 (Didn't PR, 30 secs short comparing to Brooklyn half 2011)
Temperature: 38 (7:00) - 46 (9:00), sunny, wind 10mph
Wearing:
1. still good for short, pant no good
2. long sleeve fine, short sleeve ok too
3. wearing gloves
4. Kinvara 2 is always best choice for me!
Course: feels like more hilly than city of oaks
Gels: pre-race and mile 7 (2 in total)
Body weight: 156lbs
Time split: even
- First half (Mile 1 - 6): 7:06
- Second half: 7:05
Summary:
1. Recovery: fully recovered from City of Oaks (in 18 days)
2. Temperature: body didn't feel cold but the cold air hard to breath at the beginning
3. Speed: lack of speed works, right calf exhausted, left knee bothered a little in the middle but got better later.
4. Strategy: too fast at mile 1-2, got passed by a few runners; held on to it, passed many in the second half
5. Place: overall 13/700, age group No.2 (small local race is good!) Prize is a $15 gift card.
6. PR: although did not PR, this is my best half given the very hilly course. The hills at Brooklyn half was nothing.
7. The race giveaway: medal, long-sleeve tech tee, hat, socks, arm warmers ($65 registration is worth it)
