Hoping to get close to 10:00 for 3k this Summer, so wanted to do 3 x 1000 m at 3:20 pace and that worked out pretty well. Recoveries were 200 m walk in approx 2 min. Very hot day and no water, but got it done and felt okay running home from the track afterwards.
