9 hours fitful sleep. Large oatmeal with lots of sugar, coffee breakfast. Mid-Day run. Started of mediocre, mentally wrecked/preoccupied between mile 2 and 3 and almost gave up. Managed to focus just on the run and wipe stuff out of my head somehow, and hauled butt a bit. Doing 10:02 for mile 4 was a confidence builder (maybe, I could make up for mile 3) and 9:38 for mile 5 (while still feeling comfortable) turned the whole run around. Went full out for last mile, which was half downhill, for 8:47! Target pace was 10:40 - guess I over compensated.
