8 hours sleep, V8 and banana breakfast. Felt good going in. A bit too fast on the warmup, but it was comfortable. Tempo portion was hard the whole way - tight heavy the first mile, almost exhausted the rest. Took a 2 minute break halfway through. Really craved electrolytes after. Should get and bring Ultima for workouts - just leave a bottle at the trailhead.
