Two minutes and nine seconds - yes, I spelled it out - faster than last year. Five mile PR on a tough (hilly) course.
On top of a shitty work week.
Felt simultaneously for, into the third mile through almost done point: like needing to puke, wanting to have to potty to get a reason to stop, to wanting to die to wanting to find the next gear to wondering: why not just run for fitness and to drink and eat not be so fat and screw racing? to finding that gear in the homestretch.
