Mile 5: 6:03 (well, just from mile 4 to 8km, so technically not a complete mile. about 48m short.)
Opened WAY to fast. wanted to stay with caleb. as you can see, i sorta ded between mile 1 and mile 2 and then struggled to pick up the pace again. this was pretty much a death sentence. it was hard and painful. the length didn't seem to be too much of an issue because it felt just as long as a 5k. i need to do some work on pacing beyond a mile. I need to do some 2 mile repeats I guess. is that the solution? maybe, or maybe i just need to start out a little slower (like 5:45) or maybe i just need to race more.
