out was 8:58 pace (1.08mi 9:40)

back was 8:37 pace (1.08mi in 9:18)- YAY

my pace improved! :) but i'm not sure if that's a good thing... i think i was going faster because the balls of my right foot were hurting and i increased my turnover. this happened the very first time i ran this break. it's like if on the bottom of your foot you put a finger between your big toe and pointer-finger-toe (?) and then drag your finger down to the balls of your feet. this little indent between the balls of my foot was on fire! i don't know if i'm maybe shifting pressure to avoid my heel, or maybe it's the insoles. i don't think it's a big problem, just annoying to have the balls of my feet burning. definitely made my turnover faster though haha. after the run this area feels sore if i flex my toes up. it probably just needs to be iced, too.

breathing/heart rate and everything felt fine though, nice and controlled. i also haven't felt much/any muscle soreness, so that's nice. still calf massaging for the sake of my feet.
