Just a short run today. Tomorrow is the Shoreline TRI, so I just wanted a few easy miles, with a bit of a kick at the end to practice speed form. It was supposed to be a brick/transition practice workout, but a flat tire on the bike and Abby needing to be at work in a short amount of time kind of cut this workout short. It was disgustingly HOT out though, so my HR and effort level didn't match very well. I was running really easy, but my HR was way higher than it should have been for that effort. I didn't really care about the HR so much, since I knew that I was running easy. I got through the first two miles at a pretty good pace, so I went easy for the first half-mile of the third mile, then kicked it up a bit faster at the end. I didn't want to over-work myself, so I just ran a little faster. Just tried to run at close to race form, and let the pace be what it was. No pressure. Just HOT. A good run, despite the heat
