Today was anything BUT a low effort run. I started out running pretty quick. It was not exactly because I knew there were thunderstorms coming, but maybe subconsciously. I got a mile into the run before the rain came. Then all of a sudden it was POURING BUCKETS!! I ducked onto the covered porch of one of the big houses up close to Southern Parkway (possibly used to be a Nothnagle house). Then after the worst was over, I headed back out. It was nice and warm, so this was actually a lo of fun! The sidewalks were pretty much rivers though, so I did most of my running in the street. Having fun. Running fast. I basically didn't care to go slow, so I didn't. My HR was up above 160 for almost the whole time. The straight section down Westfall from Lac de Ville was interesting. By this point I had slowed up a bit, and then decided to pick up the pace again. The pace quickened even more when the thunder and lightning started!! Scared the SH!T out of me!! It was fun though. A good run.

Sleep: good (bed at 11:00pm, awake at 7:30 but my alarm started going off at something like 5:40)

Mood: good

Physical: just tired and feeling out of shape

Clothes: dark blue Nike shorts, blue Tri-CC tank top, red hat (perfect)
