A hard run today, but not as hard as Tuesday. I started off running a normal pace. It should have been faster. I was struggling a little because my left calf was sore, and I was wearing my new Saucony Grid Hurricane 10's for the first time today. I quickly realized that I needed to step up the pace in order to even get to the HR I wanted to be at. So, the first mile was SLOW in comparison. This may not be a bad thing after all though, in hindsight, after realizing that after three miles of 7:45 miles I knocked out a 6:40 mile. That last mile I was pretty much going all out. The first half mile felt good, long strong strides, then the second half I was huffing and puffing and just trying to find a place to put my feet down. I was trying to pay close attention to my form, but I felt like I wasn't doing very well towards the end. An EXCELLENT run.
Sleep: OK (bed at 12:00am, awake at about 5:30am)
Mood: eh
Physical: both calves were SORE
Clothes: light blue Nike shorts, yellow Tri-in-the-Buff shortsleeve shirt, red hat (chilly to start, then perfect)
