Beautiful night for a run, so I opted to head to the park. Went too soon after dinner, and was having some trouble keeping my stomach intact through the run.
Felt pretty strong throughout. Felt a little harder than the pace should have, in my opinion, but that is probably a combination of several things:
a) Having been doing some weight-lifting for the last couple weeks in addition to my regular routine.
b) Consequently having gained about 5 lbs.
c) Struggling to hold down dinner.
d) Having stale legs after running for 5 days straight.
So I'm not too concerned. I'm just happy to be running consistently again. I give myself about 3-6 weeks from being ready for a real 'race' shape, with nothing really on my calendar anytime soon.
