Notes
Ran this in two segments, as follows:
2.6 miles in 26:20, w/ Anna. (10:08/mi pace)
3.2 miles in 27:04 (8:28/mi pace)
Felt really good throughout. Was a humid day, with rain, so I was worried I would have trouble slogging through a long run, but the trails were not too muddy, and the rain helped keep me a little cooler despite the humidity. The first leg warmed me up pretty well, and I felt really strong the second leg.
Ankle/achilles bothering me on the up hill portions, but seems a little better every time out. Will continue icing it and hope for continued improvement.
The 8:30 pace felt really good, and I think I could maintain that alot further, but I'm going to stick with limiting my miles for the time being, so as to avoid injury.
