Reminding me again how quickly you can get out of shape, the Hangover Classic was its usual brutal self.
23 degrees and lightly snowing, with a direct headwind during the back portion of the out and back.
Predicted 24:00, and ran pretty close to that. Was mostly a series of running/walking, as I:
a) couldn't decide what speed I was running, most of the time
b) couldn't hold the pace I was running for the whole distance
It is a miracle I wasn't further off. As it was, my 22 seconds off was good enough for something like 13th place or so, which got me a free mug.
Had fun, even if I feel crazy running this race each year.
