Ran 8x400m w/ 400m recoveries. Felt like I ran this much better than the set I did two weeks ago. Marty ran this workout with me, and I think having someone there to push me definitely helped.

Set a goal pace of 1:34 (6:16/mi), and hit that number every lap but one. Ended up finishing with an average speed on my intervals of 6:03/mi. First lap out I was a little too enthusiastic, and went harder than I ought to have. Last lap was more intentional. Middle laps I had a strong sense of my pace, and ran evenly.

The only thing that was disappointing was the amount that my recovery time went up with the last few reps. I was really having a hard time recovering while jogging on the last 3 reps or so, and ended up walking about 100m on them. Still, I believe a similar thing happened last time out, and my times weren't as good then, so I can't complain.

Next time I run this workout, I will work on keeping recoveries on schedule, and add perhaps two additional laps.
