Notes
Everything seemed to go wrong with this run. I forgot my watch, so I just ran how I felt, and unfortunately, I felt terrible.
I hadn't really eaten properly all day, and I think running before dinner was not the best idea. I felt like I didn't have much energy to draw upon.
Then, I almost ran into a deer. Quite literally, I rounded a bend, and almost ran into a deer which stepped out into the path in front of me. He just stood blocking the trail and stared at me as though I had headlights or something. I ended up turning around and taking another trail.
To top it all off, the last mile or so my left shin was bothering me again. I still can't see where this is coming from, because I certainly haven't changed my running at all. Maybe it is my new shoes, as the problems started about the time I got them. But they are the same line I was using before, just a more recent release, so I wouldn't expect to have issues. I hope something clears up, because shin pain is for the birds.
Hopefully, my next run won't be so crazy.
