9 degrees to start, sunshine and no wind. Really surprised that Phil wanted13 miles, especially since the only the main roads where clear. Even with a 7 am start more cars on the road than would have been expected. Trails shoes and wool socks were ok for the first half but only good enough for a slog coming home. Jumping off the road and back off the shoulder really seemed to beat up my legs.
