Warm,windy 60 degrees.But it was cloudy all day. Thought a 7:10 was possible but started with the 7:15 pace group. The first mile was 7:40, separated from them after that and ran my pace watching the 7:10 group ahead of me. Carried my handheld, succeed caps and gels. Gels, succeed and water all worked to plan. Got a sidestitch that took 2 miles to shake, then I felt the blister developing and really fell off pace. Space center was really cool, but I was ready to walk off the course at that point. Did the shuffle/slog/limp for to many miles. Saved for at least one mile coming out of the Space Center when Meredith caught me. Stayed on her shoulder for at least a mile. That helped get my head back into this thing and slog it home. Really pissed when I couldn't hang with the 3:30 group when they passed me. Pushed hard at the line and blacked out? Crashed into the fence and got escorted to medical. Pretty embarrassing. Thankfully no one I knew same that little spectacle. Done with these marathons.
