I have finally gotten a long run into the mix! I would say it went OK. Not great but not badly either. I ran very steadily through about 10 miles and then it got hard. The final two miles were tough and my pace slipped with each of the last 4 miles. The early miles were all comfortably under 9:45 but I am clearly fit for 10 only.
I didn't remember to tape or lube my feet and I got an awful blister on my left arch. It is a good lesson that the long runs are not just for fitness but also to remind you of what mistakes to not make on race day!
