Our first day in Cortina! John and JC and I set out to find Lake Soropis which is hike that Kim has recommended highly. We find the lot at the trail head full of cars and decide to try and find it from the back side. this ends up being a mistake as the terrain is extremely rough and very steep. At some point the going gets to be too tough for John's knees and we turn back before seeing the lake. Not a bummer at all though as it is a gorgeous area and the weather is perfect.
