As per usual, our first day in a new place involves the reconnaissance hike around. Roving is another medieval city on a hill with a big, beautiful church. Kind of typical but no less lovely for it. We found a great path along the water front that went two miles in one direction and then another mile or so in the opposite direction from the middle of town. I will run this tomorrow. Mostly gravel once beyond the town center with a postcard-worthy view of the Adriatic the entire way.
